I frequently visit Marco Polo Plaza Cebu because of events and gathering with friends, and over time, a lot of items on their food and beverage offerings became a favorite.
Marco Polo Plaza Cebu recently introduced their “Signature Six”, six food and beverage items that you must try when you’re at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu. Some of these items are actually some of my favorites too. It’s like, my visit to Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is not complete without trying them.
Malicious Cookies
When I was still new in Cebu, my friends are raving about Malicious Cookies, and when I finally tried it, oh wow! This cookie is loaded with milk chocolate and white chocolate chips, and when I say loaded, I mean a lot, and that make them super good. No wonder this maliciously good cookie received several recognition and even hailed as one of the best desserts in the Philippines.
Malicious Cookies are available at the dessert section of Café Marco, and can also be ordered ala carte.
Ensaimadas
Soft, cheesy and delightfully good! That’s how I will describe the ensaimadas of Marco Polo Cebu. They come in four flavors, regular, mango, ube and the seasonal flavor, and my favorite, festive ensaimada during Christmas season.
Mango Cheesecake
Creamy cheesecake topped with sweet Cebu mangoes, with crust made with crushed chocolate chip cookies. The cheesecake really goes well with the sweetness of Cebu mangoes, and the chocolate chip cookie crust adds an interesting texture to this dessert.
Adobo
Adobo is my favorite Filipino dish and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s version is the bomb! It reminded me of my grandma’s adobo back home in Pampanga. Try it out on the buffet spread of Café Marco.
Earl Grape Iced Tea
This refreshing drink is one of the signature beverages of Marco Polo Hotels . It’s made of elderflower syrup, earl grey tea and seedless green grapes. This iced tea is perfect to cool you down during a hot afternoon.
Silk Road Iced Coffee
I love ice blended coffee, and Marco Polo Plaza Cebu’s Silk Road Iced Coffee became an instant favorite. This drink was created from overnight-infused coffee, flavored with cinnamon syrup and milk, topped with marshmallow and italian meringues, and then served with Cinnamon S’mores.
