Few weeks ago, I visited Giardino Gelato together with Cebuano media, bloggers and influencers. We were welcomed by a cozy garden-like interiors of the store. It felt like I was transported in one of those Italian homes with garden. The owner also showed us how they make their gelato- from mixing of dry and wet ingredients, to churning, and storage. I was also able to sample a freshly made gelato and it reminded me of the creaminess of the ice cream I tried in Hokkaido, Japan. It’s actually my first time to try a freshly made gelato, I could really eat it as it is. It’s that good!
Giardino Gelato offers 20 plus gelato flavors. They have classic favorites like ube, cafe, chocolato, and matcha, and also some unique flavors like summer camp chocolate, cookie monster, and milo dinosaur. As much as I wanted to try everything, my throat can only handle few scoops. I was able to try ube, summer camp chocolate, pistachio and mascarpone. I super love the combination of pistachio and marscarpone, the mix of flavors taste really exquisite. The story behind the creation of summer camp chocolate was also interesting, it was created by the children in a summer camp when they were asked to create their own gelato. I will surely try other flavors on my next visit.
