The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is kicking of their community events this 2016 with “Brew Your Best Year: Street Art Series” in three different location across the country including Manila, Cebu and Davao.
Brew Your Best Year: Street Art Series
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Philippines has always aimed for everyone to become the best versions of ourselves through their Brew Your Best Year campaigns. This year, the campaign will focus on unleashing the inner creativity and exercising of the imagination of the community members. A three-part series with a theme Create: Brew Your Best Masterpiece will take place in Manila, Cebu and Davao. Participants will be able to learn about Street Art which is a booming platform for individuality and self expression and then applying what they’ve learned by being part of the team who will create The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s very first public mural.
“We believe that life is one big canvass and through this activity, we are encouraging our community members to make their lives their best masterpiece by using their gifts in the best ways they can,” shares Nella Lomotan, Engagement Marketing of The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf® Philippines. “This event will just be one of the many avenues we are providing that will, hopefully, help them brew their best 2016.”
In Cebu, the Brew Your Best Year event will take place at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu branch and along Escario Street(for the mural painting) on February 13, 2016 from 1pm-5pm. Cebuanos will have the chance to meet Bek Cebedo II, who is known for the prominent graffiti crews Ubec Crew, The Junks Collective, and SSF, and Janot, the leader of the only calligraffiti crew in the Philippines STROKE.
The Davao leg will feature Troy Bascon and Franco on February 27, 2016. And finally Exldmanila will be hosting the Manila event on March 5, 2016.
The event is a half-day workshop wherein community members will get to learn about the history and basics of street art and graffiti. For inspiration, a short tour of the local existing street art will be held and participants can collaborate together to design a community street art mural in one of the walls within popular areas. The artwork will be made with the theme Making Life One’s Best Masterpiece as guide.
