I’ve always wanted to try Barikata Ramen Bar in Cebu IT Park and tonight is perfect timing because of the rain.
I’ve seen the tarpaulin covering the restaurant before it opened and it was stated that Barikata Ramen is by Chibori and Kushiyaki Chikuzenya Japanese restaurants. These two Japanese restaurants are among the best in the Cebu City.
I ordered Shiro Tonkotsu (Php355), white pork bone broth ramen. The problem with other Ramen is that the broth is too flavorful which makes it hard to finish. Barikata’s version is thick and seasoned just right. The noodle is perfectly cooked and has a good serving portion. It also comes with a slice of cha-shu (pork belly) which is tender but lacks flavor. Still a good Ramen to try but not the best among I’ve tried in Cebu.
Other Ramen being offered at Barikata are Kuro Tonkotsu and Aka Tonkotsu. They also have don buri (rice bowls) and side dishes.
