Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among Filipino women. Though very common to women, men may also develop breast cancer. According to ICanServe Foundation’s website, Philippines has the highest number of breast cancer related deaths in Southeast Asia.
Every month of October, various charitable organizations celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise awareness of the disease. Different activities from the private sectors are also being held to help raise funds that will be used for research on the caused and the treatment of patients diagnosed with breast cancer.
For the first time, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa joins the world in supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness Month through their Pink Afternoon Tea and Pink Merchandise. A portion of sales from the Pink Afternoon Tea and Pink Merchandise will be donated to ICanServe Foundation, a charitable organization which aims to provide hope and assistance to women with breast cancer.
At the Lobby Lounge of the hotel, enjoy the view of the resort while savoring the canapes, pastries and cakes made specially for the Pink Afternoon Tea set paired that with Dilma line of premium teas. The Pink Afternoon Tea set is available for the whole month of October daily for the whole day. The set is already good for two persons for only Php888++.
Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa also partnered with The Chocolate Chamber which created the Pink Merchandise– Mini Choco Nib Cookies, Hand-Rolled Truffles and Cocoa Butter are available at the Lobby Lounge.
