Tides, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu’s all-day dinning outlet reopened last October 28 after six months of renovation.
The new Tides now boasts Modern-Filipino interior design that radiates warm and welcoming ambiance. The new interiors feature wooden beams, native weave-patterned ceilings and cozy couches that will surely entice diners and make them feel at home.
Tides is known for its wide array of delectable international and local cuisines, prepared by its world-class chefs. Chef Mark Mulder returned to the Philippines as executive chef of Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Cebu and heads the culinary team. Another addition to Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu’s world-class chef lineup is Chef Alvin Jong Tae, his culinary expertise lies in Korean, Japanese and South Asian cuisines.
15 internationally themed buffet stations are setup within Tides. Stations include Chinese, Korean, Filipino, Japanese, Western, Raw and Fresh, Charcoal Grill, Rotisserie, Desserts and even a special buffet station for Kids.
The Kids Station was specifically built to cater to your little ones and features food that they will surely enjoy and love.
Another new feature of Tides is their very own Charcoal Grill where they cook a whole Lechon.
Some of my favorites from the buffet spread are La Galbi, a Korean barbecue beef short ribs, Chicken Cordon Bleu with Basil-cream Cheese Sauce, Beef Caldereta, the Lechon, Dimsum, XO Fried Rice and everything in the dessert station.
Tides is located in Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu and can seat up to 370 guests. You may call (+6332) 231 8276 or visit their website at http://www.shangri-la.com for inquiries and reservations.
