Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan has upped its gastronomic offering to the guests as they welcomed on board the award-winning resort’s culinary department the new Executive Chef Joachim Felber.
Heading Crimson’s creative and innovative culinary department, Joachim will be taking lead for Saffron Café, the resort’s all-day dining restaurant that caters buffet and ala carte from breakfast and in-betweens; Tempo, the Pan-Asian restaurant that features seasonal ingredients and produces through the many and generally evolving Chef specialties; Score Sports bar where you can get ahold of the nightly villa cocktail; and the banquet and events food and beverage requirement.
Joachim, a Swiss national, brings more than 37 years of culinary expertise as well as amazing varied tastes from his many travels. His notable experiences inlcude being part of the pre and opening team of Burj Al Arab and organizing two royal weddings. He has been in more than 25 properties around the world and has gained globally competent skills and international exposure, from starting as an Apprentice Chef in Switzerland to working his way in becoming the Executive Chef of top-notch properties all over the globe.
Crimson’s Resort Manager Kristofer Quadros has said that “Chef Joachim is a fantastic addition to the Crimson family, given his impressive resume and impeccable record from the many hotels and resorts he has worked for all over the globe, we are excited with what he can do with his team for the resort.” And Crimson Resort is ready for him as they have just given Saffron Café’s Sunday Brunch a face-lift.
The Sunday brunch delivers varied sections including a wide selection of amazing cheese. The main one consists of Western stations, which includes Middle Eastern selection, charcuterie, Italian, English and French selections. The Asian stations feature Japanese, Indian, and Filipino sections. If live action is your thing, then you can go over the grilling station by the Saffron Lanai area and lechon carving station. And there is something for desserts too! The dessert area is a mishmash of sweet treat with different international specialties that’s sure to be mouthwatering!
